SHOW NOTES - episode 037: Show from Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.

The world famous Ha Long Bay (Halong Bay) is a must see in any travel to Vietnam. The bay and its 3,000 islands will surprise you no matter how many pictures you have seen before. Make sure you bring your camera as I’ve been able to take some of my best pictures there. Photographers note: you will need an assortment of filters! The area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Many travel agencies in Hanoi offer excursions to Halong Bay. We’ve done a visit in a day but best would be to allow, at least, two days (1 night) to visit the bay. Hire a luxury Junk and stay onboard overnight! Prices start from US$155 per person.

My newly designed podcasting furniture - what I call a “PodStation” - by Matthew has arrived! Yes a complete and comprehensive PodStation has been custom built and is perfect for all my studio based shows. Compliments Adam Curry’s Poddesk that he and his father-in-law built in 2005.
I designed this desk to be able to hold studio mics on a boom (Shure SM7), Edirol R1 backup CF recorder, Mackie Onyx 1220 mixer, Ampex aural exciter, Behringer headphone distribution rack and monitors. In addition, the PodStation will also be able to hold an Ivory Valve compressor and a rack mounted telephone recording console (when I can afford them and they are approved by the household Finance Director) sigh.
Jacqueline and Joshua return home. Thomas Brawn turns a brawny 13 years old - Happy birthday (Legend Thomas!)
