Travelling to Colombo can be dangerous. This week I investigate the exact site where a Tamil Tiger suicide bomber killed herself, her children and seven soldiers in an attempted suicide of the Sri Lanka Chief of Army Staff.
Arrival at the new airport of Colombo is actually very good. easy to navigate, clean and lots of shops podsters. Plenty of excellent Sri Lankan tea to buy from specialist tea shops throughout the concourse.
Special visit this week to the Joseph Fraser Memorial Nursing Home which is where my mother-in-law (MIL) Ailsa was born in the 19 somethings. The place is still there and, quite frankly, hasn’t changed a bit.
Listen in as I take a special sound tour of an old hospital and interview the staff about this hospital in the Colombo 5 area.
