Big changeover this week and fine tuning of the new website. We’ve also formally launched "We’re Hiring" jobs campaign. Anyone who would like to join PodAsia or if you know any travel writers please send them to here.

This week we’re in Dubai and spend 24 hours at the Dubai International Terminal. Amazing place with lots to see and do.
For long-haul PodAsia passengers or business travelers on tight schedules, rest and relaxation are luxury that can now be well afforded.
We give the Dubai International Hotel a four star rating. It is located on the Arrivals level of sheikh Rashid Terminal and occupies a further 2 floors above that. Consisting of 88 well appointed rooms. Ranging from Royal Suite to Deluxe rooms. All services, such as room and laundry services are available 24 hours a day.
Business facilities include the Connect Business Centre with wi-fi, computers, telephone, facsimile and full colour printing.
PodAsia strongly suggests you book your room before you arrive! When we were there, two other travellers didn’t have rooms available.

Germain Greer - Moron of the Year.
Matthew has another PodAsia rant about the stupid and insensative comments of the foolish feminist Germain Greer who commented in London about the death of Australian Steve Irwin.
In a scathing attack in a British newspaper, Greer said nature had taken its revenge on Irwin for his robust handling of Australia’s native animals.
Mocking Irwin’s multi-million-dollar empire and his "Crikey!" catch-cry, Greer accused the world-famous TV star of placing the welfare of animals after his own interests.
"There was not an animal he was not prepared to manhandle," she wrote in The Guardian." The author of The Female Eunuch hit below the belt as she accused Irwin of sending the wrong message to kids.
"The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin, but probably not before a whole generation of kids in shorts seven sizes too small has learned to shout in the ears of animals with hearing 10 times more acute than theirs, determined to become millionaire animal-loving zoo-owners in their turn," Greer wrote.
Even Queensland Premier Peter Beattie called Greer’s comments "stupid". PodAsia goes further; Germain Greer - you really are a self-serving idiot and are in the running for the PodAsia Moron of the Year.
