Visit Singapore and "Christmas in the Tropics". Stroll down Orchard Road all the way to Marina Bay and take in the Christmas Light-Up which is a 23-year-old Singaporean tradition that draws local crowds and visitors from all around the world. Singapore tells us that this season also promises many magical moments and performances for young and old alike. There are specially decorated shop windows, spectacular mall decorations, extended shopping hours, countdown parties and more. Be sure you have the energy for merrymaking, shopping and feasting! Credit cards a must!
One of PodAsia’s favourite places to recommend is Ngee Ann City. Ngee Ann City is located prominently at the heart of Orchard Road and is a city-within-a-city that showcases 7 levels and 110,450 square metres of sheer shopping and gastronomical adventure. Its unmistakably Oriental façade complements its Western interior to create a unique cosmopolitan shopping ambience. This building of polished granite and marble makes a majestic statement along Orchard Road and ranks as a must-visit for every visitor.
Ngee Ann City houses over 130 specialty stores and international fashion labels such as Hugo Boss, Christian Dior and Cartier alongside other renowned brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Zara, A/X Armani Exchange and ck Calvin Klein. The biggest store in the entire complex is the Japanese retailer Takashimya, which has almost everthing you need. There are also over 30 food and beverage outlets offering cuisines from Western to Cantonese to Indonesian to Thai. However, you don’t go to Ngee Ann to eat - you’re there to shop!

Mike Viola aka The Candy Butchers has a new album Making up Time. Great voice and hits the PodAsia mark with his song "Give me a second Change for Christmas". Check out the Candy Butchers here.
Nashville crooner, Tresa Street, who is as original as they come, with a classy voice and a style that is all her own. Tresa is a southern girl that writes, sings and performs. Although she is best known as one of today’s modern Country artists and you can check out some of her music here. Her song "Christmas of Love" can be downloaded free here.
